MINUTES of the special meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on June 30, 2012, beginning at 10:00 am.

ROLL CALL: Trustees present: Judy Wrigley, Jim Moran, John Wilkinson, Barbara Reid, Barbara Smith, Austine Stitt and Judi Harris as well as County Librarian Kathy Chandler.

Also present were Willis Pember, Suzanne Jackson and John Keleher.

PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.

The Board discussed the concerns expressed by the councilmen at the last city council meeting.

Willis Pember presented a memorandum of comprehensive project costs comparing the 60’ option and the 44’ option.

Willis also presented an option for modification of the roof design bringing the highest point of the roof to 28’ with the northeast corner being significantly lowered.  He also presented a design for keeping the building within the 44’ easement. The Board decided to support the modified 60’ option for the land use application.

ADJOURNMENT: On motion by Austine Stitt, seconded by Barbara Smith, the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 12:36.
