MINUTES of the special meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on September

3, 2013.  Meeting was called to order at 9:37 a.m.

ROLL CALL:   Trustees present:  Austine Stitt, Barbara Smith, Barbara Reid, John Wilkinson, Jim Moran and Judi Harris.  Judy Wrigley was not present.  County Librarian Kathy Chandler attended as well as Phyllis Mattice, Assistant County Manager, Brian Pettit, Public Works Director, and Jodi Smith, County Facilities Manager.

Phyllis Mattice reported that Pitkin County has hired Chase Park Grants to research available grants for capital projects.  The library expansion project is on the list to be explored.  The county has agreed to pay Chase Park $25,000 and would like for the library to pay $5,000 of that price.  No decision was made by the Library Board.

Each member of the architect selection committee was given an evaluation sheet for compiling scores for each aspect of the proposals submitted.  The selection committee discussed all 4 proposals in preparation for interviews to be held on September 4.

ADJOURNMENT:  Motion to adjourn was made at 12:43 by Austine Stitt and seconded by

Barbara Reid.  Motion carried unanimously.
