MINUTES of the regular meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on October 7,
2015. The meeting was called to order at 12:07.
ROLL CALL: Trustees present: Austine Stitt, Judy Wrigley, Barbara Smith, Barbara Reid,
John Wilkinson and Judi Harris. Also present: County Librarian Kathy Chandler and staff
members Martha Durgy and Susan Keenan.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
A motion was made by Austine Stitt and seconded by Barbara Smith to approve the minutes
of the meeting on July 8, 2015.
A motion was made by Austine Stitt and seconded by Judy Wrigley to approve the minutes of
the meeting on August 12, 2015.
A motion was made by Barbara Smith and seconded by Austine Stitt to approve the minutes
of the meeting on August 26, 2015.
A motion was made by Barbara Smith and seconded by Judy Wrigley to approve the minutes
of the meeting on September 9, 2015.
A motion was made by Austine Stitt and seconded by Judi Harris to approve the minutes of
the meeting on September 30, 2015.
Each motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS: A motion was made by Austine Stitt to approve the revised list of pricing for
the named gift opportunities. The motion was seconded by Judy Wrigley and passed
unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS: A motion was made by John Wilkinson to move the discussion of the 2016
budget to the November 11, 2015, meeting. The motion was seconded by Austine Stitt and
passed unanimously.
A motion was made by Barbara Smith to amend the fundraising budget for a $3,000.00
additional payment to Judy Clauson, fundraiser. The motion was seconded by Barbara Reid and
passed unanimously.
The Aspen Writers Foundation has contacted library staff about having a fundraising event at the
new library in June. However, at this time it is not possible to commit to a date since we don’t
have a definite completion date. An Antiquarian Book Fair is also interested in holding an event.
The Board will need to review policies for use of the library by outside groups.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Austine Stitt to adjourn the meeting at 1:46. The
motion was seconded by Judi Harris and passed unanimously.
