MINUTES of the meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on July 12, 2017. The meeting was called to order at 12:07.
ROLL CALL: Trustees present: John Wilkinson, Judy Wrigley, Austine Stitt, Barbara Reid, John Keleher, Barbara Smith and Judi Harris. Also attending: Kathy Chandler and Dave Gollon.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion was made by Judy Wrigley and seconded by Austine Stitt to table approval of the minutes. The motion passed unanimously.
LIBRARIAN’S REPORT: The Board of County Commissioners has approved the supplemental budget request for the park benches which have been ordered and the County Procurement person has given approval for FCI for the curtains.
Roof work is nearing completion with a few punch list items to be completed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Dave Gollon, Music Librarian, has been with the library for 36 years. His duties include maintaining the music department and cataloging all of the historical Aspen Music Festival performances held in the library. He is in discussions with the AMF about the possibility of storing the performances digitally and linking to them through our on-line catalog. He also manages the accounts for fees collected by the library and participates in the selection for book and music purchases.

ADJOURNMENT: AT 1:17 a motion was made by Austine Stitt and seconded by Barbara Smith to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
