MINUTES of the regular meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on September 12, 2018. The meeting was called to order at 12:04.
ROLL CALL: Trustees present: John Wilkinson, John Keleher, Austine Stitt, Judi Harris and alternate David Bentley. Barbara Reid, Barbara Smith, Judy Wrigley and alternate Elizabeth Nix were absent. Also attending was County Librarian Kathy Chandler and Ann Driggers of the Pitkin County Finance Department.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: A motion was made by John Keleher and seconded by Austine Stitt to approve the minutes of the meeting on August 7, 2018. The motion passed unanimously.
TRUSTEE COMMENTS: John Wilkinson will attend the Annual Conference of the Colorado Library Association in Loveland. John will be honored as Library Advocate of 2018.
LIBRARIAN’S REPORT: The County Facilities Department has decided to have a deep steam cleaning of the Library done twice a year.
NEW BUSINESS: Ann Driggers of the County Finance Department reported on the County audit for 2017 done by McMahan and Associates. The County has purchased a new accounting software package that will make it possible to track balances for all County departments more accurately. The system is projected to be in use by July, 2019.

ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by John Keleher and seconded by Judi Harris to adjourn the meeting at 1:10. The motion passed unanimously.
