MINUTES of the regular meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on July 12, 2023. The meeting was called to order at 12:05 PM in the William R. Dunaway Community Room.

PUBIC COMMENT:

TRUSTEES COMMENTS & LIBRARIAN'S REPORT:
- Genevieve followed up on the concerns about the property tax increase, however the Library is capped at a 5.5% increase, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
- Audrey Ellis asked about clarification on APD’s support for library staff.
- Kathy reached out to Fonda Patterson to secure an official donation of the Music Festival Image, a letter will be sent to confirm.
- Barbara Reid commented how much she was thrilled with the follow-up on the matter and that it is a great addition to the Library.
- Barabara Reid and Audrey Ellis complimented on how lovely the new sign looks along with the new tables and chairs on the park side of the Library. They saw people picnicking on them and thought how welcoming the area looks now. Genevieve said there were a few more additions that we are just waiting on.
NEW BUSINESS:
- The Library Board was presented with the full report, floor plans and first round of construction numbers for the Snowmass Village (SMV) Library Project, along with a pared down version.
- Moving forward, the pared down version will be presented to both representatives of SMV and PC Council for feedback.
