Here's the scoop on placing holds and picking them up

 

PHASE II LIBRARY SERVICE

 

  • The service described below, is available only at 120 N. Mill Street in Aspen. Because the statewide courier is not running, there is no pickup or return of hold materials in Snowmass Village.

  • Place holds on the books, music and movies you want from our collection.

  • Library staff will contact you by telephone when your materials are ready to pick up.

  • Your materails will be checked out to you for normal loan periods and organized on carts by your name.

  • Items will be held for three days only before being returned to the collection.

  • Hours for pickup are Monday - Saturday, 9am-6pm and Sunday, noon-6pm.

  • The library building remains closed to the public. We ask that you practice social distancing and wear a mask when you pick up your holds.

  • Book drops are now open. Please use these when returning your items. Remember, we are fine free.

  • Materials are quarentined for several days before being checked in. Our careful handling of materials will not add fines to your account. We'll keep beating the fine free drum for you.

 

 MODIFIED COMPUTER SERVICE BEGNS - JUNE 15, 2020.

 

This begins Phase III of Pitkin County Library re-opening plan.

1. Nine computers are located in the Dunaway Room in a layout that preserves social distancing.

2. Masks are required. Entrance is accessed only through the east entrance to the library.

3. Other than the Dunaway Room and adjacent hallway, the library remains locked from any public use. 

4. Computer appointments are time limited.

5. Computers will be sanitized by library staff after each appointment.

6. People waiting for an appointment must wait outside the building.
