This winner of the Best Picture Academy Award in 1943 is a classic. Director Michael Curtiz who won Best Director that year has peppered this beloved wartime romance with a solid cast that includes Sidney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, Claude Rains, and of course the electrifying performances by Humphry Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. This timeless classic has been digitally restored and it has never looked better. But there’s a special reason we’re bringing it back. Carrotblanca will be one of the Best of Warner Brothers Cartoons holiday programs on December 21 and 23.
“An undisputed masterpiece and perhaps Hollywood's quintessential statement on love and romance, Casablanca has only improved with age, boasting career-defining performances from Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.” – Rotten Tomatoes Critics Consensus. (USA 1943)
