Library Cinema takes place in the Dunaway Community Room. Doors open at 2PM, the film starts at 2:30PM. Tickets are $10.00, cash only.

Christopher Edward Nolan is a British and American filmmaker. Known for his Hollywood blockbusters with complex storytelling, Nolan is considered a leading filmmaker of the 21st century. His films have grossed more than $6 billion worldwide. His filmography includes what is considered the best Batman Trilogy, and Interstellar has achieved cult status in particular for its haunting soundtrack. We’re pleased to present this “Weekend with Nolan,” including a screening of his newest film, Oppenheimer (2023), a major contender for many Academy Awards, including Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), Best Director, and Best Picture.

J. Robert Oppenheimer and a team of scientists spend years developing and designing the atomic bomb. Their work comes to fruition on July 16, 1945, as they witness the world's first nuclear explosion, forever changing the course of history. It has been nominated for seven Golden Globes, which are often a predictor of Oscar Winners.
