As part of Pitkin County Library's Concert Series, we are pleased to present pianist Amanda Gessler, who will perform works by the little-known French composer, Marie Bigot de Morogues, as well as Franz Schubert's breathtaking, monumental Sonata in B-flat major.
As a first prize winner of the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, Amanda Gessler made her Carnegie Hall debut in 2014. She has performed widely throughout the US and Europe and has been broadcast on Colorado Public Radio and Irish National Television. Her teachers include Menahem Pressler, John O'Conor and Richard Goode. She holds degrees in piano performance from Lawrence University and Indiana University.
Purchase of the piano was made possible with funds from Friends of the Library.
