Join retired attorney and educator Liz Siegel, JD, for an engaging discussion of the most significant U.S. Supreme Court decisions from the Court's most recent term. Learn how the federal and state court systems work, how cases are selected for review by the Supreme Court, and the legal reasoning behind several of this year's landmark opinions. Liz will also preview key cases already accepted for the Court's upcoming term and discuss the issues likely to shape future decisions. Questions and audience participation are encouraged throughout the presentation.

Liz Siegel, JD, is a retired attorney whose career included legal work at NASA Headquarters and a Washington, D.C., homeless shelter. She also taught American Government at Colorado Mountain College for several semesters. For the past five years, she has presented annual Supreme Court updates to audiences in Aspen, Colorado, and Stamford, Connecticut, where she spends part of the year.
