Spring is the season of growth, and at the Pitkin County Library, we’re offering a way to plant your own seeds. Our Seed Library is open from April 24 through June 30. Come in and pick up packets of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds!
How does the Seed Library Work?
- Speak with a Librarian at the main desk to choose up to 3 packets of seeds per person, per day
- No library card is required to take home seeds, however, a library card comes with access to lots of books and resources
- Take them home and start planting
- Supplies are limited, so come early for the best selection
Whether you’re growing in a windowsill box or backyard garden, these seeds are a start. Pair them with a few good books from our gardening section, and you’ve got the makings of a summer harvest. We believe in nurturing curiosity, sustainability, and the simple joy of watching something grow. Stop by, pick out seeds, and get your hands in the dirt. It’s time to grow something wonderful.
