Librarian’s Report- See report for more detailed information
Staffing & Operations:
- No upcoming planned closures
Security, Facilities & Building Updates:
- Clean Heat Project: rooftop heat pumps fully installed- but the existing support pumps failed and will need replacement. New pump has been ordered- but will only operate at 50% until permanent upgrades replace both support pumps. Testing of new heating system will continue into the 2nd week in November- with ETA on completion- and may require intermittent shutdowns and cooler temps during transition- coldest temps forecasted for the weekend of October 14th.
- A forensic analysis on why the pumps failed is being conducted but ultimately they are part of the overall project.
2027 Budget & Five-year Plan:
- Audrey Ellis & Genevieve went over 2027 budgets and 5-year plan. Significant projects in upcoming years as part of the planned replacement schedule will impact future budgets and reserves. This will also impact staffing as staffing is by far the largest part of the budget with increases in costs scaling larger than growth of income due to Tabor and softening property values. Follow-up questions asked included how Tabor Reserve funds were calculated and whether the reserve funds could be used.
