Avalanche Aware Presentation with a forecaster from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC)

Anyone who recreates in the mountains in the winter should be familiar with avalanche safety basics. Join an avalanche forecaster from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center for an hour-long presentation of AIARE's (American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education) Avalanche Aware. This talk covers the basics of what avalanches are, where they occur, and how to get the current danger rating from the CAIC for your area. All ages, activity types, and experience levels are welcome.
