Jan Garrett has famously been singing and playing in Aspen since (take a breath) 1968, at the Red Onion, the Blue Moose, Jake's Abbey, the Aspen Meadows, and beyond. Fast forward through The Hustlers, her fabulous '70s band Liberty, 15 years singing jazz with world class pianist Dave Schappert, and 25-plus years with her husband and musical partner JD Martin, with whom she's written and produced 10 albums of award-winning original songs. Now, she is relaxing back into that improvisational jazz mode, joined by veteran local musicians Chris Bank, Paul Valentine, and Walter Gorra. This special evening will feature Jan's own compositions, as well as her pick of engaging jazz standards.
