As part of Pitkin County Library's concert series, we are pleased to present Francisco Vila and Amanda Gessler, performing some of the most iconic and loved sonatas for cello & piano.
Francisco and Amanda studied at Indiana University under two of the 20th century's great musicians and teachers in János Starker & Menahem Pressler, and have since gone on to accomplished performing careers of their own. We are grateful to be able to host them at Pitkin County Library!
The program will include:
Beethoven's Sonata for Cello and Piano in D major, op. 102, no. 2,
Debussy's Sonata for Cello and Piano in D minor,
Brahms' Sonata for Cello and Piano in E minor, op. 38.
