April 3rd-9th, 2022 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. The theme for this year’s National Library Week is “Connect with Your Library,” which promotes the idea that libraries are places to get connected to technology by using broadband, computers and other resources. Libraries also offer opportunities to connect with media, programs, ideas and classes, in addition to books. Most importantly, libraries also connect communities to each other.
This week, we encourage all community members to visit the library in person or online to explore and access services and programs. We offer a wide array of programs, classes and resources that are available in person or from the comfort of home, including Libby/Overdrive and Hoopla.
To connect in person, stop by the library and ask staff about our resources, Library Lab, meeting rooms, and programs.
To connect to our online resources, click the "Learn" and "Download" tabs at the top of our website.
To connect to our programs, click the "Participate" tab at the top of our website or view our "Library Events Calendar".
All you need to access our free resources is a library card. Cards are available for full-time and part-time residents, visitors, and kids! For older teens and adults please bring a photo ID with you to get a library card (includes drivers licenses, ski passes, bus passes, passports, and any other form of ID with your name and a picture of your face). Remember, next to a ski pass, a library card makes you a local!
First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association.
