ROLL CALL: Trustees present: John Wilkinson, Ashley Connolly, Elizabeth Nix, Barbara Reid, Audrey Ellis, Elizabeth Stewart-Severy, Anna Scott, Barbara Smith. Staff: Kathy Chandler, Genevieve Smith and Shannon Foster.

MINUTES of the Regular Meeting of the Pitkin County Library Board of Trustees on January 11, 2023, as amended at the February 8th meeting.
ROLL CALL: Trustees present: John Wilkinson, Barbara Reid, Austine Stitt, Elizabeth Nix, and Elizabeth Stewart-Severy. Ashley Connolly and Barbara Smith were not in attendance. Alternate trustees Anna Scott and Audrey Ellis became voting trustees in their place. County Librarian
Kathy Chandler attended as did David Detwiler.
Access Parking and Local Transportation
Parking
The Library has two 15 minute parking spots off of Mill Street. Long term parking is located below the library in the Rio Grande Parking Garage. The parking garage is $2/hr with a max of $12/day. Residential street parking is free for the first 2 hours. Use the Pay by Phone website or app for downtown core paid street parking.

Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-7:00pm
Friday-Saturday: 9:00am-6:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm-5:00pm
Banned Books Book Club
The Banned Books Book Club reads materials that have been historically challenged or are on the American Library Association's current challenge list. All suggestions are taken from a list compiled by current and past book club participants. We will discuss the reasons for the item's ban or challenge and the importance of access in upholding intellectual freedom. This is a safe place for difficult discussions.
