Library Concert Series

Francisco Vila, Solo Works on Cello

Sunday, March 9, at 4:00pm-5:00pm in the Dunaway Community Meeting Room

The Library Concert Series is proud to present Francisco Vila, as he performs works for solo cello in our Dunaway Community Room. 

Vila is a soloist and chamber musician known for his sensitivity, phrasing elegance and technical mastery of his instrument. His concert activities have taken him throughout Asia, Europe, North and South America. 

Collaborations include those with artists such as Gary Hoffman, Nobuko Imai, Lynn Chang, members of the Julliard String Quartet, among others. As a performer, Vila's ability was forged under the mentorship of great musicians such as Gary Hoffman at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium and by the legendary cellist Janos Starker. 

He recently completed recording the six Cello Suites of J.S. Bach.

Aspen Music Festival and School Student Recitals

Mondays & Fridays, July-August at 2:30pm-4:30pm in the Dunaway Community Meeting Room

Every week throughout July and August, we are excited to host the talented students of the Aspen Music Festival and School, as they perform classical works that will include solo repertoire, as well as chamber music and vocal works.
