Banned Books Book Club

This year's banned books club will be reading materials that have been historically challenged or are on the current challenge list from the American Library Association. All suggestions are taken from a list compiled by current and past participants of our book club. For adults. Sign up by contacting Shannon Foster (970) 429-1943, shannon.foster@pitkincounty.com.

Book Thieves Book Club

The Book Thieves meet monthly on Wednesday at 4:30pm in the library to discuss young adult literature. Snacks and books will be provided. For youth in grades 7-12. Sign up for the book club.

Classics Book Club

The goal of Classics Book Club is to finally tackle books that we should have read in high school or college but didn't, or that we have always been curious about or intimidated by, but never tried to read. This book club meets bi-monthly starting in April. For teens and adults. Sign up for the book club.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Enroll your child now to receive free books monthly from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! For kids 0-5. Register for Imagination Library!

Financial Literacy Book Club

Every month, we discuss chosen content (book, movie, magazine, Ted Talk...) with a financial flavor. For adults. Sign up for the book club. 

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

It doesn't matter if your child is three or just three months - there's no better time to start than now! For infants and preschoolers. Sign up for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten, then swing by the Children's Room to pick up your booklet with stickers and fun activities/suggestions.

Community Read

Monthly Monday Movie Nights

Pitkin County Library's movie discussion group meets virtually (via Zoom) on the last Monday of every month to discuss films screened in advance and chosen by the group. All films are available through library streaming resources (Kanopy and Hoopla). For adults. Join by filling out our intake form.

Teen Advisory Board (T.A.B.)

A group of teens who help decide which books, movies, and games will be added to the library and what programs will be offered. For students in grades 7-12. Apply to T.A.B.

3D Printer Training

Sign up for a 3D printer training! Trainings are 1-1.5 hours long depending on questions and experience. No previous experience is necessary. For teens and adults. Sign up for a 3D Printer Training.
