Dive into a Book

The Library has thousands of books for you to borrow and read! Books are available as physical items or as eBooks and/or audiobooks on Hoopla or Overdrive/Libby. Playaways and books on CD are another way to listen to audiobooks. Playaways are amazing because you plug in headphones and start listening!

We are updating our collection constantly, but if we do not have a copy of the book you are looking for you can place it on hold and another library will send it to us! Holds typically take five to ten days.

Books can be checked out for three weeks with your library card. If you need extra time to finish, most books can be renewed for another three weeks. Talk to a Librarian to get your own library card! The process is easy, fast, and free.

Join a Book Club

Book clubs can be a great way to meet people who share your interests, discover new books, and have stimulating discussions. They can also lead to a deeper understanding of an author's work and the development of lifelong friendships. We provide the books! Our book clubs are lead by librarians who offer tasty food and drinks at each meeting.

Participate in Events

The library has really stepped up its game in organizing events that cater to a wide range of interests, from movie nights and gaming to craft sessions and coding. We also offer annual events like the Summer Reading Program, Halloween Party, and Library Lock In. There's always something for everyone.

Volunteer at the Library

Libraries are hubs of resources and information for the community, and by becoming a volunteer, you are helping to further this mission. If you attend the local high school, you may need volunteer hours to fulfill your graduation requirements. To become a volunteer, join one of our service-based programs (Pitkin Pals or T.A.B.) or call Madison Ledford at 970-429-1922.
