Other Events for Teens

The Pitkin County Library has some really cool events lined up for teens in 2024. The following events are not part of ongoing programming, so you do not want to miss them! 

These programs are offered to ages 12-17.

Painting Pots and Planting Seeds

Wednesday, April 24, at 4:30pm in the Library Lab.

Celebrate Earth Week at the library by joining us to decorate a lovely terracotta pot, filling it with soil, and planting some seeds. It's a great way to get your hands a little dirty, show our planet some love, and have some fun!

Casino Night

Wednesday, May 29, at 4:30pm in the Dunaway Community Room

Come hang out at the library for a fun-filled evening of games like darts, Poetry for Neanderthals, and blackjack. Don't worry about food and drinks, we've got you covered! The Teen Advisory Board created this event.

Resume, Scholarship, and College Application Assistance

Wednesday, August 28, at 4:30pm in the Hotpick Meeting Room

Are you looking to build a strong resume or application for a job, scholarship, or college? Let a librarian help you out! You can sign up in person at the event to get 10 minutes of your draft reviewed. Enjoy snacks and drinks awaiting your turn. 

Murder Mystery at the Library

Wednesday, October 23, at 4:30pm in the Dunaway Community Room

Join us at the the library as we play Murderous Decisions: Murder at the Library! 

Game Description: Romance writer Lady Cattersley has been murdered at Cattersley Manor, but whodunit? There's a body in the library, a secret passageway in the bookcase, and maybe even a ghost in the parlour... so gather your friends for a twisty murder mystery where your choices matter!
